Xiamen was one of four special economic zones in China that opened up to the world during the early days. It is one of three zones of the "China Pilot Free Trade Zone". In my country, it is a major LED concentration center. Everyone in the industry regards Xiamen’s LED industry's characteristics as "Xiamen Model". It is one of 14 national semiconductor illumination industrialization bases throughout the country.

The "Xiamen International Lighting Exhibition", is the city branch of the "Ningbo International Lighting Exhibition". The exhibition aims to promote the development of China's Lighting Industry, relying upon Xiamen’s unique free-trade pilot zone, Southeast International Shipping Center and Cross-Strait Regional Financial Service Center and the Cross-Strait Trade Center. It will also deepen the exchanges and cooperate in the lighting sector at home and abroad.
